The charity was set by Thomas Barnardo in 1867 to help disadvantaged children. Today they help thousands of children, young people, parents and carers across the UK. Your donation will be used to help children, young people and their families across the UK who are growing up while battling with traumatic and potentially life-changing situations such as poverty, parental illness, child abuse, living in and leaving the care system and chaotic family lives. Together we will make their lives more bearable and enable them to thrive. In addition, your kind gift will help us to respond to the increased difficulties being faced by families due to the cost-of-living crisis and ensure that children who are in the greatest need will be warm and fed in the months to come.
